Hung out with a couple fly-fishing youngbloods in Bozeman this past week. Chester Floyd gets the shakes when he thinks about going fishing, he is a fiery, excited cannonball on his drift boat that he purchased with college funds, and he rips big brown trout out of the water at a young age of 19. Shane Stalling is an amazing snowboarder, and a damn fine fly-fisherman to boot. Had a great time hanging with both of them.
Its been wet.
Tying flies at the Bitterroot Brewery.
Denny Mac (front seat) and Cam.
SLC - Hot concrete, suits and ties, movement.
Marge holding it down at the Sula Country Store. She had a nice selection of locally tied flies.
Literally my first cast on this trip. A good omen.
I spent my weekend on the The East Fork of the Bitterroot River. Didn’t see one person and the fish would seemingly always oblige to rise on whatever flies I threw. I caught about a million minis and 4-6 8-12 inchers. Great little river fork with tons of features.
Frame grab of glory.
Frame grab of an exceptional lifestyle choice.
JP enjoying the morning sun in Darby, MT. It rained the night before and all my camera gear got foggy, it worked out for this particular portrait.
