  2. Wow.  What a ride.  Who thought quitting a job, making a movie could bring someone this to this point.  Thank you to everyone for the support, I enjoyed meeting many of you on RISE.

A blog post with more information can be found here.

  3. Rise Fly Fishing Film Festival →

Catch Breathe on the RISE Film Festival this winter/spring.  Confirmed dates for multiple European countries.  I just might make it for the Zurich and Germany shows, will keep you updated…

  4. Breathe just hit 4k plays! I’m humbled and excited. Thank you.

  5. A people film about fly-fishing and work.

What do you do when the current of work grows so strong you start to drown in it? You take off fishing the scenic waterways of Montana where trout, and the people catching them, teach you how to breathe again. Follow the journey of one man’s fishing adventure that takes him across the state of Montana in search of the next fish, fresh perspective and a more fulfilling life — after all, staying afloat in this contemporary world is a challenge.

    How do you Breathe?

  8. Ah, Back in Jackson, Wyo.  As much as I wish I was still living in a truck dictating my life through fly-fishing, its good to sleep in a bed, take a shower, and hang out with the old lady.  I am in full post-production mode on Breathe.  Expect a trailer soon………

Just because I’m in Wyo doesn’t mean I’m not enjoying being unemployed:

  9. Mr. John Zerihoun.  Founder of Imago Fly Fishing.

  10. Hung out with a couple fly-fishing youngbloods in Bozeman this past week.  Chester Floyd gets the shakes when he thinks about going fishing, he is a fiery, excited cannonball on his drift boat that he purchased with college funds, and he rips big brown trout out of the water at a young age of 19.  Shane Stalling is an amazing snowboarder, and a damn fine fly-fisherman to boot.  Had a great time hanging with both of them.

  11. I sincerely apologize for being quiet, I’ve been ‘stuck’ in the woods.  Epic-ness below:

    Glacier National Park.

My big toe has seen better days.

I floated the North Fork of the Flathead in the beautiful boat above.  Who needs a drift boat anyway?  I was lucky enough to meet Lucky (below) on said trip.  The North Fork borders Glacier National Park and is full of hungry, native cutthroat.  Lucky supposedly caught 258 trout that day.

Hiked into *censored* lake with George in Glacier National Park.  Epic.  Big Fish, spawning cutthroat, spectacular scenery.

Bears were certainly around.  Supposedly there were 6 reports that we were fishing right next to a Grizzly Bear family, they closed the lake the next day due to bear danger.

  12. Full moon on the Blackfoot River.

Meet Greg Thomas, Story teller, Editor at Fly Rod & Reel Magazine and official booze hound over at Anglers Tonic.  We had a fun day to say the least.

    ‘Twas a deep hole.

    Fish Creek.

  14. Spent the weekend at Rock Creek.  Had a great time, not too many people and a nice 15 incher to round out the weekend.  This weekend I am busy doing interviews and will publish some portraits of them.  Should be in the Glacier National Park area by early next week.
